Today’s review is of the independent film Everlasting, released in 2016 by Super Grande Films. The movie is written and directed by Anthony Stabley.
 
Everlasting tells the story of Matt (Adam David), a high school student filmmaker who sets out to find the killer of his girlfriend, Jessie (Valentina de Angelis). Using home video footage of the couple, and present day shots, we journey to uncover the horrifying circumstances of why this young life is cut short.

Today’s review is of one the most anticipated animation movies of last year alongside Zootropolis. Moana earned huge respect from all around the world for its deep narrative and leading lady.
 
Moana is another Disney classic off the conveyor belt and stars first-time Hawaiian actress Auli'i Cravalho and the big man himself; Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Today's review has been a long time coming. I do not mean for Cineroom waiting to see it, I mean it took the filmmaking maestro Scorsese 27 years to bring it to the big screen.
 
Silence is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson. This powerful adaptation screens at Phoenix Leicester until mid-January.

On January 15th 2009, Airline Pilot Chesley Sullenberger and his co-pilot Jeff Skiles managed to safely land their plane (with 155 people on board) on the River Hudson in New York after losing both their engines to a bird strike.

​It sounds like a typical, Hollywood miracle-drama, well, it’s amazingly true and directed by movie icon Clint Eastwood.

The Birth Of A Nation Film Review.

Today’s review is of Nate Parker’s re-working of DW Griffith’s The Birth of a Nation that screened at the Phoenix cinema Leicester.
 
Joining Parker on the casting credits is Armie Hammer, Penelope Ann Miller, Aja Naomi King and Colman Domingo. Nate also adapts the script and directs.
 
I’ve seen a fair share of criticism for this film, but I needed to see first-hand why after the brilliant teaser trailers…
