On the little screen: April 2020.

Picture
This month is a little different to every other month so far this year as, well, there is no cinema!

For April, and possibly the next couple of months, we will detail what’s coming up on Netflix that you should definitely catch a glimpse of!

Here’s five films that we think deserve your attention…
THE WILLOUGHBYS
Directors: Kris Pearn, Cory Evans
Writers: Lois Lowry (book), Kris Pearn
Stars: Will Forte, Martin Short, Alessia Cara

Plot:
Convinced they'd be better off raising themselves, the Willoughby children hatch a sneaky plan to send their selfish parents on vacation. The siblings then embark on their own high-flying adventure to find the true meaning of family.

Our verdict:
A great cast with a great narrative, all wrapped up in a heart-warming animation. This is a family must-see.
EXTRACTION
Director: Sam Hargrave
Writers: Joe Russo (based on the graphic novel "Ciudad", from a story by), Joe Russo (script)
Stars: Chris Hemsworth, David Harbour, Golshifteh Farahani

Plot:
Tyler Rake, a fearless black-market mercenary, embarks on the deadliest extraction of his career when he's enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord.

Our verdict:
Joe Russo. Chris Hemsworth. Action. In late April, what more do you need from a Netflix original? This action-thriller has it covered.
LOVE WEDDING REPEAT
Director: Dean Craig
Writers: Dean Craig (screenplay), Francis Nief
Stars: Olivia Munn, Sam Claflin, Aisling Bea

Plot:
While trying to make his sister's wedding day go smoothly, Jack finds himself juggling an angry ex-girlfriend, an uninvited guest with a secret, a misplaced sleep sedative, and the girl that got away in alternate versions of the same day.

Our verdict:
An innovative and original narrative with a great cast to deliver it. This is a thoughtful comedy that will certainly lift spirits on a weekend.
TIME TO HUNT
Director: Sung-hyun Yoon
Writer: Sung-hyun Yoon
Stars: Jae-hong Ahn, Woo-sik Choi, Lee Jehoon

Plot:
In the near future, a financial crisis will hit Korea and slums arise. From those areas, a group of young people commit crime to survive.

Our verdict:
Sung-hyun Yoon returns with his second movie after his critically acclaimed debut, Bleak Night. The praise will continue here – the South Korean flick is a great Friday night watch.
AFTERLIFE SEASON 2
Creator: Ricky Gervais
Stars: Ricky Gervais, Tom Basden, Tony Way

Plot:
After Tony's wife dies unexpectedly, his nice-guy persona is altered into an impulsive, devil-may-care attitude; taking his old world by storm.

Our verdict:
The first season was flawless, so the second one is worth a go at least. You know it will be brilliant, we know it is too – let’s just indulge, shall we?
