For the fourth year in a row, Cineroom is back with our prediction for the blockbuster films that will draw the most cash in 2018. Last year, we got two out of five right, which isn’t the best. However, we were close with the others, but no cigar as someone apparently says. Let’s just hope at least five films topple that much-wanted number, else this opinion-piece is down and out! What a year 2017 was. We had Brexit talk, we had Trump crap and we had La La Land win the Oscar’s Best Picture… oh wait. FYI – that still hurts.
But this feature is about facts, no fake news here. Below, we sieve through all the records that happened in 2017… so basically… you don’t have to! By Adam Ray Palmer
Look! It’s 2018 guys! That means one thing… it’s the end of the world because of the ‘big buttons’ on those two egotistical blokes’ desks and all that jazz! But whilst we are still around with our health intact, check out Cineroom’s eight best films that we caught in 2017! Please leave comments below if you agree, disagree or even to list your top eight, or 10 or whatever… Glasgow Film Festival 2018 will open on 21 February with the UK premiere of Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs.
The film director Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel also had its UK premiere at Glasgow Film Festival 2014. |
