Right, it’s over half way through the year now. Come on. This is getting crazy. 2018 is flying by with movies coming and going - left, right and centre. However, with a new month comes new films.
I have three glorious moving images to tell you about, and then an extra flick that is on the aptly named streaming service, Netflix.
First up is Terminal. Now, this is certainly a film not to get confused with the 2004 Tom Hanks-led comedy drama – this is very different. The uber-talented Margot Robbie anchors this high-paced thriller with casting support from Simon Pegg and Dexter Fletcher. Terminal follows two hitmen who agree to take on a high-risk mission for a mysterious employer and a large pay check. Along the way, they encounter a woman (Robbie) who may be more involved in their mission than they had realised. This movie isn’t jaw-dropping or award-hungry, but it will certainly tickle your adrenaline-fancy. It’s a slippery, dark revenge thriller which should keep you occupied. Plus, it stars Tom Hanks! No, wait, damn it!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
Someone send an S.O.S, the ABBA fans will be queuing round the blocks when they take a chance on Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. A decade has passed since the first movie, and Ol Parker (writer/director) thinks it’s about time we learned about Donna’s (Meryl Streep) life history. I mean, we have waited long enough. The studio was probably waiting for the demand and the money, money, money. If you wait long enough, I guess the winner takes it all! Anyway, in this instalment, Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is pregnant with Sky's (Dominic Cooper) child while running her mother's villa. She learns all about how Donna started up the business and more about her ‘three fathers’. Plus, an unexpected visit brings life to the sequel: her grandmother, Ruby Sheridan (Cher). Knowing me, knowing you, this will be hit and let’s be honest; the Hollywood Execs will be screaming “Gimme, gimme, gimme” for a trilogy.

Mission Impossible - Fallout
Tom Cruise is back, again. I don’t know how many times I have penned that. Actually, I do… five times. Mission: Impossible 6, or better known as ‘Fallout’, lands in cinemas at the end of the month. In this outing, an IMF mission ends badly, and the world is faced with dire consequences. As Ethan Hunt (Cruise) takes it upon himself to fulfil his original briefing, the CIA begins to question his loyalty and his motives. Hunt finds himself in a race against time, hunted by assassins and former allies while trying to prevent a global catastrophe. All I can say about this movie is probably what I said about the last five. It has high-octane action, a macho-stiff performance from Tom and also, a great pay day for Simon Pegg with two movies out in July for the funny fella.
